Our fleet is made up of new and modern adventure boats from Axopar. They are know for eceptional seaworthiness and handling.

All our guests are provided with a full-coverage suit that is nice and warm, and it will keep you afloat in case something happens. Under the suit you wear regular clothes and we recommend low, soft shoes. Anything but high heels. Normally you will not get wet, except in case of heavy rainfall. The suits are not completely waterproof, but water-repellent. Feel free to wear a hat, buff and gloves on chilly days. Sunglasses are never wrong at sea!

Unless otherwise agreed, pick-up and drop-off is at the dock / parking lot at Strandkaien 1. Our captains or drivers will meet you there. Loork for Fjord Xplore logo and colors.

Our boat dcaptains are very experienced and drive gently. They will always do their utmost to give our guests a comfortable and safe experience. Our tours are not fast-paced extreme adventures, rather soft, comfortable and controlled tours. The boat ride will take place at about 25-35 knots, and will be adjusted according to the weather and wind, as well as the needs of the guests.

We are very well aware of arrival and depature times for the cruise ships arriving at Stavanger and we plan our tours accordingly. We do have the possibility to speed up or omit some of the tour if we for some reason is running late. Please also make sure at the time of booking that the tour will fit you travel plans. 

Yes! If the tour is cancelled for any reason on our side, for example technical or personnel issues and so on, then you will automatically get a 100% refund. If the tour is cancelled due to bad weather you will also get a full refund.

There are pockets in the floating suit for smaller items. 

Sacks, bags and pouches can be stowed in the boat's cabin and storage rooms if needed.

On private charter we have no particular age limit. For the other tours, like "Lysefjord Safari & Pulpit rock ++" the age limit is set to 5 years old.

Yes. Don’t worry if it starts raining, we’re well equipped to venture out in most any weather. The boats have roof that give protection from the elements and in addition you are provided with a flotation suit made of water-repellant materials plus a wraparound hood. And don’t count yourself unlucky if you aren’t greeted with perfect blue skies when it’s your time to board, we promise you it won’t spoil the fun. A bit of rain adds a vivid freshness to the scenery, enveloping the fjord in an enchanting mist while surging its waterfalls, making them fuller and more numerous. It’s a real oppurtunity to explore the wilderness at it's more raw. Of course, if the weather gets truly bad to the extent that it poses a safety risk to anyone onboard, rest assured that we will without hesitation cancel our departure and offer everyone affected a full refund.
